I know I am so late on a blog, but boy has it been a whirlwind in the last few weeks!!
I can’t believe I have been back in Swaziland for almost a month now! Once I got back…jet lag got the best of me! Then I was off to Zimbabwe to see one of our staff members get married (I was the wedding photographer). It was such a great time to see two great people brought together by love! Then when I got back, I hit the ground running with everything…preparing for my first team, getting a few new job duties and so on!
So since I have been back in Swaziland, it has been an adjustment period too just like being in the USA. I was looking forward to seeing the staff, and looking forward to getting back into the swings of things and seeing the kids at the care points! Oh how I have missed them!!
But just like having an adjustment time here…I had a huge one in the States. Being on furlough is one of the HARDEST things for a missionary! I wish I would have had a manual for it because I didn’t know what to expect going into it! I had some hard times, but I had way more good times! It was so good to see family and friends! There are so many other family and friends that I wanted to see while I was there, but time didn’t allow!
On a personal note, I want to apologize for those people that I didn’t get to see or even get to spend a lot of time with. I felt like I was being pulled all different directions and there is only 1 of me!! :) Like I said, I wish I would have had a manual for furlough, but I didn’t. When I left 2 years ago to move to Swaziland, I was a different person. The Lord has molded me and shaped me to be the best person I can be within the last 2 years. I will NEVER be the same person I was then. So if I didn’t seem like the same Morgan you knew back before 2014…that’s why!! The Lord has called me to Swaziland for this period of time in my life and this is where my heart is at.
I am so thankful that I was able to see most of my supporters and even speak at a lot of churches! It was so good to be able to share about Swaziland and what all the Lord is doing in this beautiful country! I am so thankful that I picked up a few more monthly supporters!! Without your help, I wouldn’t be here in Swaziland!! If I missed you this past time, please know that I am very thankful for you! You will see me next time I am in the states! :)
Love you all!!
