Oh happy day!!
As I sit here writing this one, I am full of emotions!! I am so excited to see what God has in store for me on this journey!! I never thought May would get here fast enough, but here it is and I leave in 4 days!! I will be taking a few days in NYC to site see…which I have ALWAYS wanted to do!! Then on May 31, I will be on a jet plane headed to good ole Swaziland!! 🙂
So lets rewind a little, all the way back to Thursday. I was having my 3rd Jim Bob’s Swazi Night and was really trying to get all of my monthly support!! I would not be able to leave without having 100% monthly support. It was a slower night than usual, but towards the end, I met this sweet lady, Rachel!! After we got to talking, I found out her husband was the pastor of Orr Street Baptist. I was telling her about my monthly support and everything, and she said let me talk to my husband and see if we can get you to come speak Sunday night. So long story short, I ended up getting to speak there this past Sunday night!!
So heading into Sunday night, I lacked about $140 in monthly support. I had been praying really hard that God would really show out if it was meant for me to leave with the Mullins on the 27th. So after I spoke, I was honest and told them that I really needed to fund that $140 that night!! So I sat back down, and this elderly lady stood up and said with $140, that is only 14 giving $10 a month for 24 months!! I did not tell the church about my $10 a month challenge – so that was definitely a God moment!! So leaving Orr Street that night, I had all of my monthly support!! It was definitely the perfect timing!! Although I have all of my monthly support, I am still lacking the rest of my start up cost, which is about $2500. God has taught me so many things through this process. Although I thought leaving in March would be the right time to leave, it was not in His timing!! I have learned to be patient…which is really hard for me!! 🙂 I can’t wait to see what all God has in store for me on this journey!! I am ready to be stretched and taken out of my comfort zone!!
I am in my final days before I leave and I can’t believe the time has finally come for me to leave. I am trying to get all of my goodbyes in and making sure I have everything I need packed in 3 suitcases!! 🙂 Please continue to pray for the Mullins and I as we are in the final days before we leave. It is going to be a hard few days, saying our goodbyes and getting to a new country, trying to settle in there and resting from the long flights!! Pray we have an easy adjustment when we get there! Pray we get some sleep on the planes…which is really hard for me! Pray for safe travel! Pray for whatever comes to mind! 🙂 Can’t wait to update once we get there and settled in!!
