I have spent my last 2 Thursdays at Bhalekane (Ba-la-ganee), helping with Timbali. It is the center care point for the surrounding area. So every Thursday, one or two go-go’s (grandmother), from each care point comes to cut fabric for Timbali. Timbali Crafts started in 2006 to reach out to the physical and spiritual needs of the hard-working ladies!! So every week, they have a different pattern to use, to make some type of bag. Whether it is a shoulder bag, diaper bag, or a kindle case, this provides funds for the ladies. Also after some fabric cutting, the ladies get to take part in regular Bible studies.
It has been a blessing to sit with these wonderful ladies!! When the fabric comes in, they get started!! I know they have been doing it for a while, but they are so fast!! I have been able to help them wrap up sets and check the bags!!
The care point is not just for people to love on the kids, it is also there to reach out to these wonderful women!! They do an amazing job cooking for the kids!! Sometimes, I think they get overlooked!!
Pray for these ladies, they have a lot of jobs!! Pray for their health and safety!! Pray that people will see God’s light shining through them in everything that they do!!
Thank you all so much for the love and support so far!! This journey has been amazing since the beginning!! 🙂 -John 14:18-
FYI… I gave away both my aprons. I need another one. Keep an eye out for a cute one =D
I will!! What colors do you like?
Morgan, thanks so much for the updates. They are an inspiration for us as you are. We are constantly praying for you and now also for the ladies. I will share this with our Sunday School class along with the rest of the congregation. Praying for God’s grace and blessings for you and the ones you are working with.
Thank you so much for the prayers!! Thank you also for the support!! It means a lot!!
