Month One

I can’t believe it has been a whole month since I left for Swaziland!! It somewhat still feels so unreal!! God has been at work so far, and I can’t wait to see what is next!! It has been a busy couple of weeks, but I think I am finally settled!! 🙂 There have been some struggles, but I know that God has everything worked out!!

So here is a look into my first month of ministry!! (I am going to try to upload pictures, but not sure if they will all work!!)

 

*This was a sweet little note from Ellie in my apartment. I found this the first day I got to Swaziland!! Ellie Anderson, is the daughter of Julie, who is over Timbal. Ellie has brought so many laughs and good memories to my life since being here and this was the first one!! 

 

*This was the first care point that I went too. It is called Mpoli Carepoint!! I was able to meet the ladies who sew things for Timbali and see some beautiful kids!! As soon as I stepped out of the car, these two kids followed me everywhere, sat in my lap, and wanted to take picture after picture!! 🙂

 

*This was the first time ever getting to see the ladies cut fabric for Timbali. They know how to get it done!! After a while, they put me to work, which was so fun!! 

*This was the day the container finally made it to Swaziland!! There is a rice place in the US, that ships out boxes of rice to other countries. The rice is full of vitamins that the kids need, so this was an awesome process to see. (This is also the container that had a few of my belongings!!) 🙂

*This is one of my favorites!! Timbali has a program for older school girls, to get money for their education. So I was able to go along and see the girls make headbands. So recently they have started a new project, making heart shaped ornaments! So this is Ncamsile, trying to make sure her heart shape is correct before starting to sew. 

*This is my new car!! Thank you all for the support!! Without your giving, I wouldn’t have it!! 

*Last one, love these girls from Thulwane!! It has been a blessing to go to different care points and see how God is at work!! These kids stole my heart in 2010!! 

I know it is a lot, but thats just a small glimpse into what I have done this past month!! I can’t wait to see whats in store for the future!! Thank you all for the support!! I have definitely felt the prayers!!
