Ever heard that phrase…”He’s an on-time God!!” Well let me tell you a story about God being on-time like always!!
If you didn’t know, I am part of our Administration department. One of the jobs that I help our Admin girls with is updating profile pictures. So last week, I needed to go out to a care point, but I just wasn’t feeling like going. I had been working on projects all week and just wanted some rest! But I knew I had to go to get it done! And I am so glad that I did! As I was sitting there taking pictures, I noticed one of the older girls hopping around. I didn’t think anything about it until the shepherd asked if I had a first aid kit in my car. I got a little of the story, but pretty much all I could get was she stepped on a needle and it went through her foot. So I went to my car and didn’t see anything that would help. This girl is one of my headband girls and so I asked her what happened. The shepherd kept saying she stepped on a needle and it went all the way through her foot. I just thought it was one of her small needles that she uses for sewing headbands. WRONG!
I kept asking questions…got a few answers. It was time to go, and I said how far is your homestead. She said it will take me about an hour to get home. I said lets get in my car and I will take you home. So the shepherd and I got her loaded up in the car and got to her homestead. We pulled up to the fence and she was getting out and she said…maybe you can greet my family. I thought to myself…what I don’t have anything with me for the family, but okay! Most of our home visits here are “planned”…the kids usually know we are coming, and we usually have food for the family. But I knew that God had us at that homestead for a reason!
As we sat down and began to talk with the mother, she told us what really happened to Tandzile! Her and her brother had been playing at the homestead and that’s when she stepped on the needle. The other daughter brought the needle out that she had stepped on…it was about 4 inches long!! And it went almost all the way through her foot…it stopped right before it reached the top of her foot. During this whole time, I kept hearing the Lord say, “Just pray for her and the family.” I kept holding it back, but I finally said to the shepherd can we just gather around and pray over Tandzile and the family. So we did!
Afterwards, the mother was very thankful for us praying for her daughter and the family. She kept saying, “I really believe that God sent you here today to pray for the family and Tandzile, and I really believe that God has healed her foot.” I told the mother that I would come and check on Tandzile the next day and look at her foot.
As I am unwrapping her foot the next day to look at it, I asked Tandzile, “Where did the needle go in at because I can’t see anything.” She pointed it out and you could see a small hole of where the needle went in and a place of where the needle wanted to come out at, but I really do believe that God healed her foot that day. Because after seeing that needle, there should have been a place on her foot that size of where it went in.
I really do believe that God is an on-time God…I was supposed to go out to that care point that day for a reason! And it was to be blessed by Tandzile’s family! It wasn’t for me to go out and help her…yes I was able to help her, but for me to be helped! Her mother reminded me that no matter what, God is always going to be there at the right time during any situation! Please continue to pray for Tandzile and her family! She has such a bright future ahead of her!
Thank you all for the support and prayers! Love you all!
